Scrapsketch #168

Steph makes such FABULOUS Sketches over at Scrapsketch.com you can play along by clicking on the link:)  This is Sketch #168:

and here is my LO based on Steph's great sketch:)

I used Textured Kiwi Kiss (ret) as my background.  The Patterned Paper is Raspberry Tart DSP (ret).  The doll was from EDPD and made using Blush Blossom for the skin, Rose Red for the dress and purse, Close to Cocoa for the hair, Her ribbon and jacket and shoes are made using Regal Rose.  The title is cut using Brock Script as the font and was made using Regal Rose for the shadow and Rose Red for the foreground:)  I used some stickles from my stash on the jacket and shoes and bow for some extra shimmer. Her face is stamped using Basic Black ink.  The rick rack is from my stash actually from my Grandmother's stash given to me when she passed away. Very special to me:)

This LO will most likely become a 2 pg spread in my album with the journaling on the next page if I get to that this week I'll post it for ya'll.  As you know I've been super sick this past week and was soooo excited to be able to finally do this LO today:)  My cut files were ready as I was able to do those while sitting in my sick chair...thankful for my laptop!

Here are some closeups ;) I know Ashlee wants to see them!  LOL:

Creative Twist "Up Close and Personal" Challenge

I made this LO years ago but it is one of my alltime favorites!  We took this "up close and personal" pic when our youngest dd was born 5 weeks prematurely.   This LO was never published before now other than in my dd's album.  I hope ya'll enjoy it.  It's a very special LO to me and my family:)

I used Ballet Blue CS as my base and 3 1/4" squares of DSP from Sale-a-Bration09 run thru my Big Shot using the SU Exclusive Texture Plates set to give it the "quilted" effect.  I used the Top Note die to make the corners for my pic of the cover of the movie and the brackets around my journaling are also pieces from the Top Note Die.  I used my Stampin' Write Basic Black Journaling Pen for the journaling:)

Here are some closeups of other parts its very hard to see the texture of the "quilted" pieces in the pics.
